In this guide, I will answer the question of how to install a config (cfg) for CSS. It is quite simple to do, so you will figure it out immediately and remember this article well.
After you have downloaded the desired archive with the config (it mainly consists of two files config.cfg and autoexec.cfg), you must drop these two files into the cstrike/cfg folder. It is worth noting that the location of this folder is slightly different on the pirated and licensed versions:
- For the licensed version - Steam/steamapps/your login/counter-strike source/cstrike/cfg.
- For NoSteam - counter-strike source/cstrike/cfg.
Also, a large number of scripts or configs have their own name (for example aim.cfg or fast_awp.cfg).
You need to install them exactly the same way, but to launch them you need to type the command exec config_name into the console.
For example, you downloaded and installed a config for accurate shooting called aim.cfg - this means that in order to launch it, you must enter CS Source and type the command exec aim.cfg into the console.
