Now I will explain in detail how to install a spray for CSS.
There are a total of two ways to install sprays on Counter-Strike: Source clients.
I will start with the most common one:
- Download any spray you like from our website
- The archive will contain files with extensions .vmt and .vtf or
- These files need to be dropped into the folder
For the licensed version
Steam/SteamApps/your login/counter-strike source/cstrike/materials/VGUI/logos
For pirated versions
Counter-strike source/cstrike/materials/VGUI/logos - Launch CSS - Options - Multiplayer - Import Spray. Select the one you want and click apply.
Important: If the spray file size exceeds 120 KB, unfortunately, it will not be displayed on servers.
Let's move on to the second method. By the way, you won't need to download sprays from websites, as you can make a spray from any picture.
- Find an image on the internet that you want to make into a spray (the higher the resolution, the better).
- Move it to the cstrike folder.
- Open CSS - Options - Multiplayer - Import Spray, select your picture and click apply.
- After that, the CS: Source client will create a spray from the picture and convert it to the required size.
Important: Installing a spray with the .tga format
1. Drop it into cstrike
2. After that, you must go to CSS - Options - Multiplayer - Import Spray, find your spray and click apply.
P.S. If sprays don't show up at all in CS: Source, then type the command r_decals 200 into the console.
